The bentō is a container tray with a lid, of various shapes and materials, used to serve a meal, in a single portion, prepared at home or outdoors. It is a common object in Japanese cuisine. The bentō is a pre-packaged lunch, usually consumed during the lunch break. The bentō box is equipped with internal dividers to separate different foods and is wrapped in a piece of paper, fabric or special bags along with chopsticks.
